In addition to helping businesses in the region start, grow and prosper, SBDC staff and business consultants work with MSU students to enhance their education, provide interaction with the small business community and apply their academic course work in real-world entrepreneurial practice.

Undergraduate students shadow SBDC consultants and work on client projects that include business plans, cash flow analysis, cost analysis, financial projections, product development, marketing, research and social media.

In addition to the activities above, graduate students provide high-value services to SBDC clients.  Because they have more professional experience, they may actively counsel small business owners.
